FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
WILL I ACTUALLY BE LOCKED INSIDE OF A ROOM?
No, that would be considered kidnapping, and we aren't into that! Some room scenarios will create the illusion that you are locked in, and just adds to the excitement of working together with your group to find a way out. In the event of an emergency, players can freely leave the room. Some rooms have a specific objective other than just getting out, so you aren't even trying to escape.
HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?
Our rooms are $88 for up to 4 people, and $22 per person after that. So if you book a room you can have 2, 3, or 4 people enjoy the experience to yourselves! Bring an extra friend or two for another $22 each.
WHAT AGES CAN PARTICIPATE?
We design our rooms for ages 12 and up, but none of our rooms are inappropriate for younger ages.
No one is too old to participate in our rooms...it may be out of your comfort zone at first,
but we'll make sure you have a good time! Most of the activities involve mostly mental challenges, while there may be some very light physical challenges.
ARE THE ROOMS SCARY?
No, not at Riddle Me Roanoke! Some other escape rooms do have scary themes, but we will try to offer a wide variety of themes without scaring you. You may be a little nervous on your first visit to an escape room, but we will make it our mission to see that you have fun!
WHAT IF I HAVE TO CANCEL?
We understand that things happen that can ruin our best-laid plans. If you need to cancel with more than 48 hours before your booking, just call us and we will either refund your money in full, or let you reschedule for another time. If you are less than 48 hours from your booking time and are not going to be able to make it, please call ahead of time to discuss rescheduling. We cannot reschedule for no-calls/no-shows.
DO YOU ACCEPT WALK-INS?
At this time we are open by appointment only. We have openings every day of the week available to book online. If you don't see the time you want, you can always call us and we'll try our best to get you in!
WILL I BE IN A ROOM WITH PEOPLE I DON’T KNOW?
No, all of our rooms are private at no extra charge. After you book, no one else will be able to book that time. You can bring extra players with you (up to the limit of the room) and we can add them when they arrive. No one can play with you unless you want them to! (We do require a minimum of 4 players to compensate for smaller groups not filling up our rooms, as opposed to multiple groups playing a public room.)
